La forge créative du XXe siècle en Aragon, voire dans toute l’Espagne,
donne l’impression d’être centrée sur très peu de noms,
peut-être parce qu’elle est lie?e au commerce sans idée pleinement artistique.
Mais ils sont deux, Carlos le forgeron et Manuel, son fils, également forgeron ne? mais sculpteur utilisant sa technique, son métier, pour la création, qui marquent une catégorie d’importance nationale.
Carlos Tolosa Pobo, né à Monreal de Campo en 1870, a vécu à Saragosse depuis 1878 et est décédé dans cette ville en 1941, tandis que son fils Manuel Tolosa Sabado a toujours été lié à Saragosse, puisqu’il y est né en 1894 et y est décédé le 30 décembre 1976.

The creative forge of the twentieth century in Aragon, indeed in all of Spain,
gives the impression of being centred on very few names,
perhaps because it is linked to commerce without a fully artistic idea.
But there are two, Carlos the blacksmith and Manuel, his son, also a born blacksmith but a sculptor using his technique, his craft, for creation, who mark a category of national importance.
Carlos Tolosa Pobo, born in Monreal de Campo in 1870, lived in Zaragoza since 1878 and died there in 1941, while his son Manuel Tolosa Sabado was always linked to Zaragoza, since he was born there in 1894 and died there on 30 December 1976.
